Another Double battle!? What is this gonna be as long as Chap 6? Naaaaah... Like our cheating friend said.. this is gonna be quick (in theory) but to which side? Ooooo..!

Either way this was a fun page to do..but man is Bastiodon a pain to draw new poses for..

@SoraIndigo: "Focus Miss" is a tongue-in-cheek nickname competitive players use to refer to Focus Blast. It refers to its poor accuracy and the fact that certain pokemon absolutely NEED it in order to be effective.

"Stone Miss" is also an example ... but this guy's doing it wrong. What he SHOULD be doing is Focus Blast and ROCK SLIDE, given that this is a double battle. Rock Slide's much better. It's more accurate, more useful in double battles, and would even break Bastiodon's sturdy.

Heck, Garchomp using earthquake would be better. More accurate, have the same effect on Bastiodon, And Gengar could finish it off or use Thunderbolt or something on the Ninjask (given how frail they are, it doesn't take much to take the out).

I'm taking this as proof, this guy's a wannabe.

@Porky: You make a very valid point that EQ is cleaaaalry the better move, cuz chances are this dude uses Stone Edge because he doesn't build a team for Doubles, just Single 1 on 1s where he picks off easy targets, and given this is a narrow area, missing isn't nearly as much an issue compared to an open field.

but he goes for Edge over EQ cuz He's already anticipating Sturdy, so he figures he might as well get both pokemon to critical damage before finishing them off next turn sine a 2 Mon knockout is more impressive then 1 at a time.

Focus miss... you can REALLY tell that this is supposed to be the competitive scene.
Also, the competitive guy has pokémon whos cries are "Geng" and "Gar". Was that intentional?

Posted at November 17th, 2014, 2:23 pm

@ZeTestItself: pure coincidence, the script doesn't even have their cries, I just added them because.. of course they'd be making noise lol
